Dr. Garvin is on the Audiology staff at Pittsburgh Ear Associates. She began her career specializing in neurophysiology and intra-operative neuro-monitoring.  She has had several published research articles and now also serves as Clinical Research Coordinator for the numerous FDA clinical trials which are currently being conducted through the Allegheny-Singer Research Institute with Dr.'s Chen, Arriaga and Hillman.  Dr. Garvin is also appointed as a field faculty member for the University of Pittsburgh Audiology residency program. Along with her supervisory duties,other duties include audiologic, vestibular and electrophysiologic testing in the Allegheny General Hearing and Balance Center as well as treatment and rehabilitation of patients with hearing and balance disorders.  Dr. Garvin also works closely with our neurotology team by providing intra-operative ABR and facial nerve monitoring during many surgical procedures where the hearing nerve and/or facial nerve may be at risk. Dr. Garvin has been practicing in her field since 1989. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 1988 and Master’s degree in 1989, both at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She received her Doctorate Degree from A.T. Still University /Arizona School of Health Sciences (Mesa Arizona) in 2004. She most enjoys spending her spare time with her young son and golden retriever.
