Dr. Hoysack is currently a resident of Ohio and has been a part of our practice since August of 2006. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the College of Wooster, OH in 2001. She then furthered her education where she earned a Master’s degree in Audiology from The University of Akron in 2003. Finally, she returned to be a part of The Northeast Ohio Audiology Consortium where she earned a Doctorate degree in Audiology from The University of Akron in 2005. She was one of six other students to be the first to graduate with a Doctorate in Audiology from The University of Akron. As a part of Pittsburgh Ear Associates Dr. Hoysack’s duties include hearing and balance evaluations, hearing aid evaluations and orientations, electrophysiology, as well as cochlear implant evaluations and programming. She also recently started leading educational seminars for patients to learn more about hearing loss, choosing appropriate hearing solutions, and new technology options. As a proud Buckeye she roots for the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State University and is slowly gaining some pride for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Maybe we’ll fully convert her one day.
