ACURIS™ hearing aids

 Pittsburgh Ear Associates is now pleased to offer ACURIS™ hearing aids with e2e wireless™ technology.  These hearing aids, manufactured by Siemens, and with state-of-the-art technology actually communicate with each other: sensing, analyzing, interpreting, sharing, and adjusting continuously and automatically.  ACURIS is completely automatic.  But if you prefer to make some manual adjustments, at last you can – with less effort and more convenience than ever.  With just a single touch, the wearer can control volume or program for both hearing instruments at once.  Press the program button on one hearing instrument and the program will change simultaneously on both sides.  Volume control, same thing.  No more adjusting, balancing, and tinkering with one hearing instrument – then the other.
The ACURIS system offers a superior Feedback Cancellation System which continually analyzes incoming signals and adjusts seamlessly and instantaneously to minimize feedback (whistling) while avoiding unnecessary cancellation of other high-pitched external signals.  A High Performance Directional Microphone System and 2nd Generation TriMic™ helps you focus on sound coming from in front of you, while reducing sound coming from the side and behind you when having a conversation in a noisy situation.    The advanced Digital Signal Processing in ACURIS includes Digital Noise Suppression and Digital Speech Enhancement for increased sound quality.  Multiple memories allows for special listening programs to be set that offer personalized sound processing for specific listening needs such as listening to music.
